A long-time scrapbooker, Kim Crothers has been enjoying designing digital layouts for years. “Since I do all my work on a computer it took awhile to find a good way to display my pages,” she says.
The solution: A printer and some clever prep. Kim now designs tone-on-tone digital pages using Adobe Photoshop CS2 software. She then prints her layouts using a designated photo printer.
“I print on a metallic-finish printer paper for a showier look,” she says. “You can find lots of paper options at office-supply stores.”
Kim prints her designs as 9x9” pieces and then frames them inside a matted 12x12” frame, which she buys at her local hobby store.
“Although I frame my digital scrapbook pages, this would be a cool solution for displaying basic photos of your family,” she says.
Tip from the creator: Sub in new printed pages every season for an ever-changing look.
