1. Create your persona: Your persona is created the first time you register or sign in with Do It Yourself. To start now, scroll down to the comment box on this page. Once you have added a comment, click on your name to go to your persona and personalize it.

2. Post photos in the galleries: Click on the Galleries module, then choose which category—inside, outside, furniture, or accents—you’d like to browse and click on View Gallery. Click on Upload Your Photo to show us your stuff!

3. Chat on our forums: Click on the Forums module to read and contribute to our discussions about DIY projects, techniques, tools, time-savers, and more.

4. Set up your blog: Click on the Blog tab within your persona. Set up your blog by using the Blog Settings feature.  You can set the name of your blog, its tagline, and even pick an image to represent your blog. Then start writing! Post your words and images by using the Write New Post feature in your blog. You can add to your blog as often as you like. We’re open 24/7!
TIP: The image for your blog header should be 60 pixels by 60 pixels, or it will be cropped for you. You may want to resize your image before you upload it.

5. Rate our content. Click on the Rate This stars (under each story title) to let others know how much you like the photos and stories. You can rate content without being signed in.
