1.Lightly sand the original finish. You do not need to sand down to bare wood. Wipe clean with the tack cloth.
2. Brush on a coat of latex primer. Let dry.
3. Apply a coat of latex paint. Let dry. Using medium grit sandpaper, randomly sand raised surfaces and the panel to reveal some primer coat and create a worn look.
4. Apply brown-tinted glaze to mottle the fresh paint and enhance the aged look. Let dry. Apply two coats of polyurethane to protect the look and give it easy-care, wipe-clean livability.
