Use the lozenge patterns and follow steps 1–3 from “Stamping 101” to trace and cut the foam pieces. Make one narrow and one wide foam shape for each paint color. To make the foam pieces into usable stamps, glue them onto a sheet of foam; let dry. Cut along the edges of the foam pieces.

To create a 6-inch-wide band around the perimeter of the tablecloth that’s 1 inch from the finished edge, first make marks 1 inch and then 7 inches from the edge of the tablecloth using a disappearing-ink fabric-marking pen and a tape measure. Firmly press flexible tape along the marks to mask off the 6-inch band. Overlap the flexible tape with painter’s tape to further protect the cloth when stamping.

Apply paint/textile medium, and stamp the shapes on the tablecloth, referring to steps 5 and 6 from “Stamping 101.” Stamp the images so the points extend onto the tape. When the stamped images are dry, remove the tape.

Mask off the 1-inch-wide borders at the top and bottom of the stamped band using the same taping method. Use a foam brush or roller to paint the borders with a mixture of paint and textile medium. Let dry; remove the tape.
