INSTRUCTIONS
Note: All measurements include 1⁄2-inch seam allowances unless otherwise noted.
From fabric, cut a 22×52-inch rectangle. Starting at one 22-inch side and referring to the diagram above right and diagram instructions, below, fold four rows of pockets; press. Topstitch along the bottom of each.
POCKET BOARD FOLDING DIAGRAM
Each row of pockets on the pocket board is created with a fold, using a single piece of fabric. Beginning from the top edge, measure down 8 inches and make a fold 3 inches deep. Repeat the process, measuring down 9 inches for each subsequent fold to make four folds. After the last fold is made, 5 inches of fabric will remain.

With a 2-inch seam allowance, topstitch around all four edges of the fabric. Measure 6 inches from each side seam and mark the lines using a water-soluble marking pen to make a 12-square grid. Topstitch along the lines to create 12 pockets.
Follow the manufacturer’s instructions to cover eight 5⁄8-inch-diameter buttons with the fabric, or click here for instructions to cover buttons. Sew buttons at each intersection of the top pocket folds and sewn vertical grid lines.
Using upholstery spray adhesive, glue the foam to the plywood. Cut a 22×54-inch rectangle from batting and wrap it around the foam-covered plywood. Staple batting to the back of the plywood.
Wrap the sewn pocket panel around the batting-covered board, positioning the outside seams along the board edges; staple the wrapped fabric to the back of the board. Hang with two large picture-mounting hooks.
