MATERIALS
5 yards of pink gingham (you can also use two
twin-size flat sheets)
3 yards each of ribbon in the following widths:
2 inches, 1-1⁄2 inches, 1-1⁄4 inches, 7⁄8 inches,
5⁄8 inches
6 yards of 1⁄2-inch-wide ribbon
Sewing thread in a matching color
Iron-on fusing tape
INSTRUCTIONS
For the panel height, measure from the top of the window to the floor, adding 6 inches to the length. Use the entire fabric width for the panel width.
Fold under the sides and the bottom 1⁄2 inch; press. Fold under an additional 1 inch; press and sew. Fold top under 1⁄2 inch; press. Fold under an additional 1⁄2 inch; press and sew. For a rod pocket, fold top under 3-1⁄2 inches; press and sew.

Cut ribbons to panel width, adding 1 inch. Arrange ribbons across the bottom of each panel.
To arrange the ribbons as shown in the photo, above, place a 1-1⁄4-inch-wide ribbon 20 inches from the bottom. Leave a 2-1⁄4-inch space; lay in 5/8-inch and 1⁄2-inch-wide ribbons. Place the 1-1⁄2-inch-wide ribbon 2-1⁄2 inches down. Leave a 3⁄4-inch space below; add a 1⁄2-inch-wide ribbon. Lay in a 7/8-inch-wide ribbon 1 inch down; finish with a 2-inch-wide ribbon 2-1⁄2 inches down.
Lay fusing tape between each ribbon and the curtain panel. Press, wrapping ends of each ribbon to the curtain back.
Slip a curtain rod through the rod pocket.
