A plain white lampshade is easy to improve. All it takes is a yard (or less) of fabric and coordinating trims. Cover a shade in embroidered linen and, along the bottom edge, add elegant glass-bead fringe covered with braided satin cording. Hot-glue a distinctive wide ribbon over the top and finish with more braided cording.
