Use velvet and satin ribbons to turn a plain foam wreath into a fabulous display. Pick up a basic foam wreath form next time you're at a crafts store. Then, cut ribbons in your desired palette into 8- to 12-inch sections. Fold them accordion-style. Use a push pin to secure the folded layers into the wreath base. Repeat as needed, covering the foam surface with color. Create visual interest by varying the ribbon lengths and styles.

For a lush finishing touch, glue a few loose ornaments to the top of the wreath. And tack a final accordion-folded ribbon to the bottom so it hangs vertically.
