Instructions: How to conceal under-sink storage while softening the look of your cabinets with this flirty skirt.

Tools + Materials

  • screwdriver
  • fabric
  • scissors
  • tension rod
  • sewing machine or needle and thread

    1. Unscrew the hinges of the existing cabinet doors under the sink.
    2. Cut the fabric to fit one and one-half the width of the opening, plus hem and rod pocket allowances.
    3. Sew a rod pocket at the top of the fabric and hem the bottom. Or use iron-on fusible interfacing for a no-sew version.
    4. Insert the tension rod though the rod pocket and gather the fabric evenly across the rod. Install the tension rod under the sink.
