Storage Tip of The WeeK
Salvaged-Wood Boxes
Get crafty by finding old wood and piecing it together to create a stylish box.

Architectural salvage with worn finishes is great for decorating. Look for door moldings that are the same size and join them to form a box.

Materials:
  • Architectural wood
  • Wood glue
  • Corner clamps
  • Plywood
  • Hammer and small nails

How to make your salvaged-wood box:
1. Cut your wood pieces to the desired size. Fit them together to form a box, apply wood glue, and secure corner clamps on the wood. Let the glue dry.

2. Install plywood in the bottom of the box using nails and a hammer for unique desktop storage.
