This project gives you a unique new filing system for your home—and only takes a few minutes. Who would have guessed that pairing an old ladder and new metal roller trays could result in an organized home office?

What You’ll Need:

• Ladder
• New metal roller trays
• Metal brackets

Materials for this project can be found at your local hardware store. An old ladder will suit the project fine, but we suggest using new roller trays to keep your files clean.

Secure the ladder to the wall using metal brackets to prevent the ladder from tipping if the trays get too heavy. Then, simply hook the feet of the trays over the ladder rungs.  Extra trays can be stacked on a desk to hold additional files. This system is a nice solution when floor space is at a minimum.
