Trade up to tile
Vintage-style hexagonal tiles proved the perfect answer for updating the main bath in this 1915 house. The tiles are sheet-mounted for easy installation by the foot. Click here for how to lay floor tile. The new tiles mimicked the original ones, found under two layers of subsequent floors but too damaged to save. A gingham-check border defines the perimeter. The sink and the tub were professionally reglazed on-site, avoiding the difficulties of demolition and replacement of the units.
