To create the look of campfire days gone by, nail up horizontal 6-inch-wide pine planks as wainscoting. Use a nail gun and a few screws through wall studs to attach the planks. An artist painted the lake-inspired mural on the top half of the wall, but you could achieve a similar effect with a ready-made wallpaper mural.
