A colorful striped area rug inspired this cheerfully casual dining room. The three slipcover colors— blue, orange, and green—relate to the colors in the rug. The walls are painted two shades of pale green (from the same paint chip) to suggest the look of a plate rail without the need for additional molding. The lampshade-dressed chandelier and the wine storage unit made from plywood and galvanized pipe lend contemporary style.
