Eden repainted instead of replacING her cabinetry for an estimated savings of $10,000.
First, Eden removed the doors, drawers, and hinges, and applied primer and a light-color paint to the pieces and the cabinet boxes. Once the paint dried, she combined glaze with a darker paint and rubbed the mixture into the wood grain with a rag. After wiping off excess glaze with a clean, damp cloth, Eden applied a coat of semigloss polyurethane sealer for durability.
“You might want to start with the inside of the door,” Eden says, ”but after one or two door panels, you’ll have it down!”
