Family photos became personal artwork for the dining room when Jeni Hilpipre-Wright had the images enlarged and transferred to white canvas.
To create the artwork trio in the dining room, Jeni took three family photographs to a copy store and had them enlarged and transferred to white canvas. Because the photos are different sizes, centering them within same-size canvases creates a unified look. In most cases, copy stores can make these types of canvases up to 3 feet wide and any length.
Sandwich the top and bottom edges of each canvas panel between pairs of 1x4s cut slightly longer than the canvas width and brushed with polyurethane. Screw the boards together. To hang, mount the board’s bottom edge on nails driven into the wall.
